In April of 2023 members of the Greene County AOH Mass Rock Division 2, got together with members
of the East Durham community, local business owners, and members of Our Lady of Knock LAOH division
to discuss bringing a St. Patrick’s Day parade back to East Durham. Our first meeting was held at the
Shamrock House and was attended by over 20 people. That day the East Durham St. Patrick’s Day
Commitee was formed as everyone agreed it’s time to bring a St. Patrick’s Day Parade back to the town
known as The Irish Alps.
